Hi! I'm Melan
I'm an Environment Artist
My main focus lies in creating 3D Environments. Still, I love exploring new topics ranging from 2D and 3D to Blueprints and Tech Art in UE5.
I got a good knowledge of Blender, Speedtree and Substance Painter especially with the UE5 Pipeline. To further improve my skills im learning Zbrush and Substance Designer. Additionally I began to use GAEA to create landscapes with the new UE Mesh Terrain tools.
Environment Art
This prototype was made for my latest university project. The foliage, walls, pillars and other architectural assets were made by me. The lighting, skybox and props were made by my collegue Nora Varga (Nora Varga | LinkedIn). The Level design was made by us both.
It is called ,,What remains of a lost cause“. The Player has 30 seconds to play before the game resets. In these 30 seconds the player musst solve 3 riddles. We decided to not give any clues, so players must explore the small world on their own and find out what they have to do.
I tried out creating Nanite Foliage for UE5 for the first time, by combining modeling the leafs in Blender and assembling all in Speedtree. For the walls I wanted to have a more modular kit, so we could align differnt parts of the walls together.
Additionally I used the new Mesh Terrain add-on in UE5 in combination with GAEA, to create the background mountains.
Aditionial Work

Swords and Armor
Character/ Rig
My first character model made in Blender.
I then created a procedural Control Rig in Unreal, which works seemlessly with other armatures, with the same naming convention.
It features switchable IK and FK controls
